Supporting local businesses has become a priority in our home. From local butchers, and bakers, to market makers and farmers - we try our best to source ingredients in our kitchen + treasures in our home from local, small, family-run businesses.
Ryan and I frequent the quaint avenue in Bordentown for coffee at @turtle.beans.roaster or cocktails at @marcellos_bordentown. Founded in 1682, Bordentown has a rich history.
Take a quick walk around town and you will see famous historical sites such as the Francis Hopkinson House, or the Clara Barton School House. Banners line the light posts along the avenue sharing interesting historical facts + figures.

Shop owner + curator, Sarah from Mimosa Goods graciously opened up her space for us on Dec. 3rd.
Mimosa Good's mission is to "offer a curated collection of eco-friendly, handmade + fair trade goods". Sarah offers "gifts that give back" including fair trade jewelry, accessories + unique toys.
lucid ladybug premiered a unique collection of vintage barware treasures thoughtfully curated to compliment the shop's vibe + aesthetic.
What started as a rainy day turned into the most delightful afternoon filled with thoughtful conversations.
The bubbly overflowing in coupes helped shoppers feel welcome to leisurely shop. New friends + familiar faces swapped memories and stories with Sarah and I.
Thankful for the opportunity to cultivate peaceful moments of enjoyment + presence for others alongside a fellow small business owner, neighbor and now friend.
We are so grateful for the community that supports our initiative and believes in our mission to rescue the treasures. Thank you to Sarah for being such a lovely host - for graciously opening her space, making me tea, and introducing us to the neighborhood.
It was such a treat Bordentown - thank you for sparking a conversation and making us feel welcome. Let’s do it again sometime soon... Cheers!
