our intimate wedding rehearsal and ring warming ceremony in moorestown, nj followed by dinner in mt. laurel, nj | 11/1/2023
We met at the church on Wednesday at six o'clock in the evening to rehearse with Mother Emily. Ryan's navy blue suit looked sharp next to my vintage petite sophisticate white pantsuit.
The air was crisp and our spirits were high with excitement for the weekend celebration. Check out our instagram reel here.
"Founded in the late 1940s - charming shoppes, inc. offered a “petite sophisticate” line - designing specially proportioned garments that gave petite girls access to true “ready-to-wear clothing” rather than having to alter garments made for the average build."
We held a ring-warming ceremony to conclude our rehearsal prior to jetting off to dinner. It was a beautiful and intimate moment for our family and friends to bless the rings we now wear on our fingers each day.
Each person was able to say a prayer, blessing, or well wish. Some chose to speak out loud, while others closed their eyes and held the rings tight. It was a moment in time we will cherish always.
Dinner was held at Cucina Carini in Mt. Laurel, NJ - Italian, of course. Long tables lined with vintage crystal tapers, fresh flowers (thanks to @stephveee), and dozens of bottles of local wine.
Ryan's parents gave touching speeches and the bridal party was able to connect and chit chat.
We were so glad we opted for an intimate rehearsal dinner - just inviting the bridal party, spouses, parents, and scripture readers.
It felt like a true, sit-down, relaxed dinner with the people we love the most.
Not a stuffy, overcrowded, or over-planned addition to the already packed wedding week.
I am also so grateful we opted for a Wednesday rehearsal as this allowed the day prior to our wedding to be completely open and chill.
We were able to drink a little wine at the rehearsal and not worry about having to be up early for hair and makeup.
Ryan and I spent the day prior to our wedding outback harvesting the last of our garden, putzing around making farm-fresh omelets, and drinking too much coffee.
So blessed by the love and energy that surrounded us throughout our wedding season and ushered us into forever together!
Cheers, Meghan
