designing, printing + compiling our vintage inspired save the dates for our fall 2023 wedding | May 11, 2023 by Meghan

Ryan and I ushered in our wedding year with lots of wedding planning, vendor calls + contracts. We feel so lucky to be working with local vendors - most connected through family and friends.. personal connections.
Our vintage-inspired save-the-date cards - featuring Uncle Charlie’s 1937 Chevy surprised our wedding guests at the turn of the new year. Read all about our special shoot with @laurabriggsphotos in Kutztown, PA here.
Our save the dates were designed, printed + complied by us! Opting for a "Happy New Year" card with our save-the-date info allowed us to save on paper + postage over the holidays.
Here's how we did it:
photo from our “save the date” shoot in Kutztown, PA w. uncle Charlie’s 1937 Chevy by our wedding photographer, @laurabriggsphoto
5 x 5” square save-the-date cards designed by Meghan on @canva + printed at a family friend’s print shop
6 x 6” grocery bag envelopes w. matching addresses designed by Meghan on @canva + printed at home using our @hp office jet printer
assorted wallet-sized prints w. handwritten notes to our friends + family on the back | same day printing through @walmart
floral postage from our local @usps | Be mindful that square postage is considered “non-machinable” so you will need to add extra postage to cover this cost!
K monogrammed gold wax seal | pro tip: use a hot glue gun to melt the wax - this makes it super easy + less messy. In between envelopes rest the stamp on an ice pack as this helps keep the stamp from sticking to the envelope + ruining your perfect wax seal!
return address stamp designed + purchased on @etsy
Favorite moment: Ryan + I running back and forth from the loft down to the office over and over again trying to get the envelopes to print perfectly while simultaneously trying not to burn our fingers on the hot glue gun or place the stamp crooked!
Cheers to thoughtfully compiling our dream save the dates... together!

Be well, Meghan

What a great behind the scenes look at your craftiness!
