magazine clippings + a giant bulletin board.

Updated: Jul 14, 2023

The walls of my childhood bedroom were covered with fashion magazine clippings & pages. Several monthly subscriptions & babysitting money spent on high fashion magazines at the drugstore after school…

I’d vigorously flip through each page imagining myself in the gown, wearing the stilettos — admiring the beauty, grace and poise of each spread, article & image.

The bulletin board {seen on the left, right me by @laurabriggsphoto} came from a yard sale.. are we surprised?

I believe it was the 3rd grade... in my childhood friend, Brittany's neighborhood. I have such a distinct memory of the giant white framed cork board waiting for me that day. The dream board that has since hung in {almost} every one of my homes.

The bulletin board quickly became homebase for important photos, notes, postcards, stickers, pins, letters, doodles & dreams. Pinterest before the internet, if you will.

Each project that comes my way — ends up on the bulletin board. Displaying own dreams alongside my clients dreams. The project outcomes have been nothing short of magnificent.

{There is immense power in bringing your manifestations & dreams to this physical plane.}

Opening our brick + mortar in February felt like a dream but in June of 2022 some more of my childhood dreams came true. I had the opportunity to design & style for two different shoots -- shoots that end up in those very magazines 10-year-old Meghan used to dream about.

We had the pleasure of bringing Philadelphia-based wedding photographer, Laura Briggs’ {@laurabriggsphoto} concept to life at her iconic 2022 styled wedding shoot in Oxford, Pa.

Coordinated by @heritagegatherings, our day on set at Hilltop Flower Design {@hilltopflowerdesign} was nothing short of majestic. Working alongside, Hilltop Flower Design's owner & lead florist, Dannie was a treat -- she knocked it out of the park with her overthetop, secret garden floral displays.

Our task: design an elevated, micro-moody wedding tablescape with whimsical floral notes + smoky tones.

Our vintage tablescape design offered mcm libbey glasss co. smoky/tawny wine glasses, water glasses + coupes, vintage luminarc france blush pink champagne flutes, vintage crystal cut decanter, a vintage crystal ice bucket w. silver handle + mcm smoky tray w. vintage matches & floral ceramic cake cutter.

Grandma Grace's antique china w. gold trim & silverware offered the foundation for this delightful tablescape -- along with the iconic vintage brass tray w. floral detail which was the first piece curated for this shoot. Handmade gray cloth napkins {@sewchicbyjanette}, assorted antique brass & black taper candles tied the entire look together.

Eight phenomenal wedding photographers were on site capturing four different unique wedding vignettes -- all styled by top Philly-based event designers, planners + florists. {@laurabriggsphoto @hilltopflowerdesign @lucid.ladybug @heritagegatherings @elephantlimbo @allaire_rentals @eventsbykellyflorist @bycatherinealexa @kristenburdumy @vanclevebridal @makeupkort @bridal_bynatalie}

The tail end of June took us to Germantown in Philadelphia to assist a branding photo shoot with Worthy Creative Co.

Not only did we have the opportunity to "set the table" for this high fashion, #bossbabe styled shoot -- I also was asked to model!

lucid.ladybug served up the perfect backdrop for Worthy's glam styled shoot with our pops of pink vintage tablescape design & styling.

Our tablescape design included vintage coupes, flutes & martini glasses. Grandma Grace's antique gold rimmed plates & small plates, pink great depression cake plates, antique silverware, vintage monogram cloth napkins, assorted brass candlestick holders, vintage gold table lighter, taper candles, silver display tray & stand were on display as well. {Photos on left by @laurabriggsphoto with glassware & tablescape styling by @lucid.ladybug}

Seeing my concepts + designs come to life has been a joy -- watching them captured by photographers I admire offers a true "pinch me" moment. Each creative opportunity that graviates our way has stemmed from a personal connection. A spark.

You see.. we are not just designing with stuff -- we are setting the scene for your special moments by sparking conscious conversations first & foremost. By offering true presence to our collaborators, clients + friends, we are channeling constant creative energy & elevating your shoot, shop or space.

We'd be honored to set your table or your friend's table. If you like what you see -- share this post with a pal. Spark a conversation - to book your design consultation today.
