Last week was a dream come to life for lucid ladybug. What started out of my closet in 2020 has blossomed into a full-time, sustainably focused styling business and blog - helping brands and brides plan intentionally for life's most precious moments.


On April 9th, in an intimate studio in midtown, I had the pleasure of capturing wedding gown designer Alyssa Kristin's premiere of her Spring 2026 Collection.

A welcome back celebration to New York Bridal Fashion Week for the Mother of three, Alyssa talked about what a beautiful whirlwind life has been for her as a designer, mother, and entrepreneur.


Alyssa's focus for this collection was the duality of women - "embodying strength and softness, confidence and ease."

I had a moment to speak with Alyssa before the show, and we chatted about the creative play she finds as a mother and how that translates to her designs. She was on a flight home from NYC to Chicago that evening and was excited to "be on breakfast duty in the morning!" I love the authenticity and open-heartedness Alyssa shared with us through her words and her stunning collection.

A common thread throughout my discussions this week was focused on the strength and resilience women must possess in each stage of their lives. The constant push and pull to be strong yet delicate, confident yet humble. Growing from girlhood to adulthood, the bridal journey, motherhood, and beyond...


We must continue to pursue the power of our hopes and dreams and encourage all women - no matter the season of life to keep going, growing, and working hard towards their hearts calling. I look forward to following Alyssa's design journey and seeing her gowns pluck at the heartstrings of brides all over the country.
