the morning of our wedding.

The dainty details of the morning of our vintage wedding at The Community House in Moorestown, NJ | Meghan Kennedy 2/10/24

“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death.”

Getting ready for our wedding was a joyous morning filled with laughter, smiles, well wishes, vintage mementos, hugs, kisses, happy tears, and happy dances.

A day we've been praying for since we met in 2011 - the day our souls joined as one in the eyes of God and all our favorite witnesses.

Venue access at 8:00 am allowed us plenty of time to get ready at the Community House with our bridal party prior to our private first look and walk down Main Street to our church ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church.

I am so very thankful to my maid of honor, bridesmaids, Mom, Aunt Peg, and vendor team for making the day so peaceful, joyous, and playful.

We felt like little kids running around the big mansion in our silky pajamas monogrammed by @sewchicbyjanette - taking Polaroids and snaps with my y2k @sonypictures Cybershot.

We offered bagels, coffee, and juice for breakfast and @saladworks for lunch. We took turns getting our hair done by @oohlalabeautyllc, and makeup by @monicacase.

Of course, we had a bottle of prosecco ready for a celebratory cheer in our vintage lucid ladybug champagne flutes!

I wore a vintage silk nightgown with rose detail curated by @karnetcreative styled with a tulle robe and slippers gifted by Mom.

Ryan and I exchanged sentimental wedding gifts and love letters separately before coming together for a private first look in the mansion library. Of course, we both surprised each other with something vintage!

Ryan gifted his groomsmen vintage gold cuff links and my bridesmaids each had their custom-curated vintage handbags and handkerchiefs ready for our parade down Main Street.

Mom and Liz helped me into the wedding dress - using a Victorian button hook to button my traditional ivory ballgown.

I am so thankful we intentionally planned the timeline and details of the day - working with all our vendors to ensure we communicated expectations ahead of time. This allowed us to be truly present the day of - focused on what matters most - precious time with each other and loved ones. This also gave our photography and videography team time to naturally and organically capture the day as it unfolded.

Bride tip: If it's important to you - add it to the timeline so it doesn't get skipped or missed. We added a moment for my bridal robe and a group prayer because I knew I wanted those moments of play and stillness built in to the day.

We are eternally grateful for the love, support, and joy shared with us on Friday, November 3, 2023. A true celebration like none other thanks to our family, bridal party, friends, and dream vendor team who traveled from near and far.

A very special shout out to Cousin Catie, Tim, Tyler, and Macayla for helping Lynn put out all our vintage decor and to @april81679 for chauffeuring our fur baby, @thegolden.asher to the venue for photos.

XO, Meghan
